Prez Mahama is “politically dead” – Sekou

Currently, every promise by President John Mahama seems to fall on deaf ears, and his declaration to fight corruption is hard to believe.

It is now clear majority of Ghanaians have lost confidence in him and cannot find solace in his administration. This above observation was made by Dr. Sekou Nkrumah when he was given the chance to evaluate John Mahama’s government.

Dr. Nkrumah in an interview with OKAY FM stated that aside the failures of the president, he has unfortunately, surrounded himself with amateurs who have killed his political future. His comments were borne out of the recent rift that ensued between Mr. Alban Bagbin, President Mahama and Mr. Stan Dogbe.

The former minister of Works and Housing Minister Hon. Alban Bagbin, challenged President Mahama’s willingness to fight corruption but was left with a sour taste in his mouth when Mr. Stan Dogbe, a presidential staffer gave him trashy response.

Mr. Dogbe’s response reopened old wounds and many seasoned politicians have called on the president to immediately remove the “amateur” Stan Dogbe from office.

Dr. Nkrumah shares this view as he believes it forms part of the reason President Mahama is not performing. Although he opines that the young should be given the chance perform as ministers of state, he believes the experienced and knowledgeable ones must be drafted in first.
