President John Dramani Mahama has visited the hometown of former President Mills to pay courtesy call on the family of the late President.
The President and his entourage were welcomed to Otuam in the Central region by the Regional Minister, Ama Benyiwa Doe who conducted the president round the hometown of the late President.
President Mahama also paid a courtesy call on the Omanhene of Cape Coast at his Palace before heading to the family house of late President Mills.
Addressing family members of the late President Mills, President Mahama paid a glowing tribute to the late leader saying that President Mills gave him the opportunity to work and is confident of leading the nation productively now that he is the President.
He assured the family members that government will ensure that the late President is given a befitting burial adding that the death of President Mills will not prevent government from seeing to the needs of Central region.**
