Prez Mahama reviews guard change at Flagstaff House

The monthly change of guard at the presidency was conducted on Monday, October 07, 2013.

Ghana Navy has been handed the onus to, among other duties at the Flagstaff House, mount sentry and ceremonial guard, carry out internal foot patrols and ensure general security.

The ceremony was reviewed by President John Dramani Mahama in the company of Vice President Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur and Chief of Staff Prosper Bani.

Also present were some national security agencies’ heads including Inspector General of Police Mohammed Ahmed Alhassan and Chief of Defence Staff Vice Admiral Matthew Quashie.

The ceremony, which was regaled with the silent drills performed by the escort contingent of the Ghana Airforce and Ghana Navy, was witnessed by pupils of Christ The King School and Multikids Academy, an Accra-based all-inclusive special school.
