The Principal of the Tepa Nursing and Midwifery training college in the Ahafo Ano North of the Ashanti region, Ms. Victoria Amoah and an accountant Asamoah Richard have been fingered in a massive GHC9,247,800 admission fraud.
The two administrative members allegedly use fake receipts and invoices to milk the government institution during every admission year, according to investigations by Ultimate FM.
The alleged corrupt practice begun in 2011 two years after the college was established. A deep throat source within the management of the school and a teaching staff confirmed the corrupt practices of the two administrators with documents to back their claims.
Checks revealed that at least about 50 percent of past and current students on campus did not pass through any interview panel as prescribed by the ministry of health because admission into the school is being sold at a whopping 3000 Ghana Cedis.
The principal has also been accused by students of billing them with matriculation and medical exams fees before enrollment to the college without execution.
One of the students who spoke to Ultimate FM’s Isaac Justice Bediako on condition of anonymity said the college authorities extort huge amount of monies through various means.
Meanwhile, several attempts to get an official response from the principal and the accountant of the school has been unsuccessful.
