Atobiase (Ash), April 22, GNA- The photo-taking exercise for the processing of identity cards for people who have registered with the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), has begun at the Adansi South District of the Ashanti Region.
Mr Richmond Sarkodie, the District Manager of the Scheme, who made this known to the Ghana News Agency at Atobiase, said the exercise, which started on April 18 was scheduled to be completed on June 15. He said so far 8,000 people have registered.
Mr Sarkodie said the photo-taking team would capture at least three communities daily and therefore entreated the people to cooperate with the officials to ensure the success of the exercise. He urged those who have not yet registered with the NHIS to do so to enable them to have access to quality health care.
