The death is reported on Friday at the '37' Military Hospital, Accra of Professor Kwesi Andam, former Vice-Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Kumasi.

Prof Andam, 62, became the Vice-Chancellor of KNUST in 2002 and retired about a year ago.

A family source said he died of cardiac arrest four days after he was admitted at the hospital.

Andam was until his death, working in Accra as a consultant. He is survived by a wife and three children
