Hearing of Parliament’s Privileges Committee on the matter involving Chairman of the Global Vaccine Safety Initiative of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Professor Alex Dodoo, will continue today, Thursday, July 16.
Members have accused Prof Dodoo of passing insulting comments against them after they had raised concerns about the suspended Ebola vaccine trial in the Volta Region.
The hearing – which started on Tuesday, July 14 – saw the science professor rendering an apology for his comments, stating that he did not intend to cast a slur on the respected estate of government.
Tuesday’s hearing saw the appearance of the Volta Regional Minister and Member of Parliament for Hohoe Constituency, where the trial was scheduled to be held.
Thursday’s hearing will also see the appearance of the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), Joy FM’s morning show host Kojo Yankson and TV3.
