Prof Mariama Ewurama Addy, a popular science and maths quiz hostess, has launched a book to motivate and inspire the younger generation on the need to become useful role models.
The book titled “Rewards: An Autobiography” was authored by Professor Addy and reviewed by Professor Agyeman Badu Akosa and Mr. Ebow Daniel, former registrar of the University of Ghana (UG) Legon.
Prof Akosa said the book was inspirational and motivational and a must read book, adding, “I recommend that the book should be added to the school’s syllabus for students to study.”
He said the book was written in a conversational style that makes for easy reading which accounts for some of the repetitiveness and trivia that bog down the book and transport readers into the author’s lecture halls, science laboratories, church, wardrobe and even her bedroom.
Mr. Ebow Daniel, former registrar of UG, said Professor Ewurama Addy receives rewards and awards, national and global on the promotion and popularizing science worldwide and also encouraging the younger generation to go into science without fear.
Rev. Dr Joyce Aryee, Executive Director of the Salt and Light Ministries who launched the book, said the book would help the younger generation in their quest to aspire to the higher level of studying science.
The Chairman of the event was Professor Henrietta Mensah Bonsu.**
