The chiefs of Sakumono have enstooled Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the 2024 Running Mate of the National Democratic Congress, as the development queen mother of Sakumono.

According to the chiefs and leaders of Sakumono, Prof Opoku Agyemang has demonstrated her commitment to development, honoring her with the title “Naa Amarkie Kekleke Yoo I”, 3news.com reports.

The enstoolment took place on August 20, 2024, during Prof Opoku-Agyemang’s visit to the community as part of her area tour.

Prof Naana Jane, on the other hand, accepted the title with gratitude, thanking the traditional leaders and the people of the area.

According to her, the honor bestowed on her is a call to action.

She assured the people of her commitment to support developmental projects that will foster the growth of Sakumono.

“This recognition is not just a personal accolade; it is a call to action,” she said.

The NDC running mate is currently touring parts of the country to campaign ahead of the general elections in December.
