Acting NPP Communications Director, Yaw Adomako Barfi has asked government and the various security organizations in the country to come to his rescue as he is at risk of being hurt following threats from the camp of founder and Leader of Glorious Wave Ministry, Prophet Badu Kobi.
An obviously intimidated Barfi on Accra-based Okay FM revealed that the popular man of God on Friday instructed his boys to ‘teach him a lesson’ for having challenged his calling and authority as a man of God.
“On Friday, Badu Kobi’s car crossed mine. He asked his men to pull me out of the car and held my cloth. I was very frightened. He rained ‘curses’ on me and asked me not to talk about his issue again”.
The attack, he explains, comes in the wake of his (Adomako Barfi) backlash after he (Badu Kobi) accused the President of having masterminded the collapse of the UT and Capital Banks and the takeover by GBC.
Prophet Kobi also reportedly blamed the country’s woes on Akufo-Addo’s presidency which according to him was not destined by God, an act that instigated a harsh response from the party’s communications Director; questioning the authenticity of the prophet’s calling.
The NPP Spokesperson explained that happenings after that point to the fact that his life is in danger. He accused he man of God of forwarding threatening text messages following his response even to the extent that his spiritual father Rev. Owusu Bempah had to intervene.
“I had forgotten about the incident after Reverend Owusu Bempah called and advised me, only to meet them last Friday, threatening me”.
Prophet Badu however has rubbished the allegations, threatening instead to take legal action against Mr. Barfi for attempts to tarnish his image and reputation.
“I will drag that man to court and prove to him that indeed, I don’t come from God. I am a Ghanaian and have every right to talk about the President and so Adomako and his men cannot stop me”, he said.
