Prophet Yirenkyi commended for contribution towards education at Oblogo

Oblogo (G/A), Sept. 20, GNA - Parents at Oblogo have commended Prophet Nana Kofi Yirenkyi, Founder and Head Pastor of Jesus One Touch and Jesus Blood Prophetic Ministry, for his contribution towards fee-free education for children at Oblogo.

Mr Ntim Gyakari, a parent, told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that the gesture had come at an opportune time as most parents for some time now had been facing problems of inability to pay their children's fees due to poverty.

He commended Prophet Yirenkyi for his patriotism and expressed the hope that the gesture would go a long way to facilitate quality education at Oblogo.

Prophet Yirenkyi, who conducted the GNA round the classes on Monday in an interview, said the construction of classroom blocks was the church's next target to assist the Oblogo community. He said at the moment he had engaged two trained teachers and volunteers to man the school from kindergarten to primary four and agreed to pay the salaries of the teachers and in addition offer free meals for the children daily.

Prophet Yirenkyi said it was the church's objective to assist the community to improve its educational standard through the provision of school structures and teaching materials.

Mr James Frimpong Danso, Headteacher, urged the inhabitants to take advantage of the generous offer to enrol their children in the school. He told the parents to contribute their quota by providing for the needs of their wards and appealed to the District Assembly to provide the church with some basic educational materials. 20 Sept. 05
