Controversial New Patriotic Party member, Kennedy Agyapong is not enthused about the slow pace in prosecuting corrupt officials in the erstwhile Mahama administration.

The NPP accused the Mahama administration of being corrupt while in office.

They also accused them of bloated contracts stating they will not escape the law when NPP comes to power.

It’s been a year since the Akufo-Addo administration assumed office and no former government appointee has been hauled before a court and this has prompted political watchers to say NPP just engaged in campaign rhetoric.

NPP firebrand Agyapong admitted he shares the opinion which believes heads should be rolling by now.

However, he pointed out that it pays to hasten with caution.

“Ghanaians think we are being slow to prosecute, but the other flip side is that you don’t want to rush to take people to court and lose cases. You have to do thorough investigation so that when you’re going there you know that you’re going to win the cases. I’ll plead with Ghanaians to have patience,” the lawmaker stated.
