A Fact about The Providence Ghanaian Seventh-Day Adventist Church

In the middle of the 1990’s a group of Seventh-Day Adventist Ghanaians living in the New England area: Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, came together to start monthly meetings. Later, they worshipped together often, meeting in Rhode Island and also in Worcester, Massachusetts with the intention of starting a Ghanaian Seventh-Day Adventist Church in one of the New England states.

A Ghanaian Seventh-Day Adventist Church was eventually established in 1996 in Worcester, Massachusetts – it was named the New England Ghanaian Seventh-Day Adventist Church, a church that current boast of four hundred adult membership. As time moved forward, the leaders of the Church continued to work towards their dream of establishing Ghanaian S.D.A. Churches in all of the New England states. In April 2006, the Providence Ghanaian Seventh-Day Adventist Church was born. The church worshipped in a rented hall in Pawtucket, Rhode Island until August 30th, 2013. At this time the Providence church with the help of the mother church-New England Ghanaian S.D.A. church purchased a church building from a Jehovah Witness group in Providence.

As we await the imminent coming of our Lord and Master Jesus Christ, we worship and serve him with all that we possess: money, talent, and time. The pastors and the entire membership of the Providence Ghanaian S.D.A. Church cordially invite all Ghanaians living in the United States and Canada to join us in the dedication of our church building on November 9, 2013 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
