Public servants will lose interest in serving Ghana - Ato Dadzie

A Former Chief of staff during President Rawlings regime, Nana Ato Dadzie has urged the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to recommend at the end of its work ways to strengthen the country’s governance system.

According to him, there is the need to ensure that all public institutions function properly and are devoid of political influence especially when it comes to discussing public interest issues.

Nana Ato Dadzie made these comments when he accompanied his client, Madam Betty Mould Iddrissu to the PAC hearing on Thursday.

He averred that if care is not taken people will lose interest in serving the country.

“Instead of fighting each other as though this is a matter of who’s done wrong between NDC and NPP and what not, we should be looking at the institutions and see how we can handle this matter.”

He said if this is not done, every work that a public servant does will be deemed to be fraught with corruption.**
