Savelugu, (N/R), May 18, GNA- Miss Lucy Nsiah-Asare, Local President of the Bank of Ghana Ladies Association in Tamale, has appealed to the general public to handle the new two Ghana Cedi note with care to ensure its long circulation life.
She said it cost the nation a lot of money to print the new currency notes and therefore appealed to market women and drivers in particular, not to handle the notes carelessly either by folding or sqeezing them in obscured places and even while transacting business with them. Miss Nsiah-Asare made the appeal when members of the association carried out a sensitisation exercise on the new note at the Savelugu and Tamale markets on Saturday to educate the market women and the general public on the features of the new notes. She advised the public to use coins in business transactions to reduce the burden on the new notes. 18 May 10
