QUIPS present certificates to four Atwima education officers

Nkawie (Ash), Sept 1, GNA- Four senior officers at Atwima District Education Directorate were on Tuesday presented with certificates by the Quality Improvement in Primary Schools (QUIPS) after completing Community School Alliances (CSA) monitoring and evaluation training programmes.

They are Mr S.O. Anane, Assistant Director of Education in-charge of Quality and Access, Mr F.C.K. Ntim-Gyakari, Nkawie Circuit Supervisor, Mr R. Owusu-Agyemang, Assistant Director of Education in-charge of public relations and Mr Yaw Antwi Afoakwa of the Statistics Unit.

They were taken through basic monitoring and evaluation, data collection methods, sampling, data analysis, report writing, dissemination, indicator-based decision-making, communication practices and leadership styles.

Mr Baffour Asare-Bediako, Assistant Director of Education in-charge of Human Resource Management and Development, who presented the certificates, commended the officers for their high sense of duty and hard work.

He noted that regular collection of data from basic schools and accurate analysis and dissemination by the officers had enabled the directorate to identify some major problems militating against effective teaching and learning and said they would be addressed.

On behalf of the recipients, Mr Anane thanked the QUIPS for making it possible for them to acquire the knowledge and skills and promised to make the acquired knowledge available to their colleagues.
