Qnet, a world leading company in the wellness and lifestyle products has supported the office of the National Chief Imam with assorted items and cash donations.

The donations which form part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was a collaboration between the company and its Independent Representatives (IRs).

According to Mr. Brian Fall; the company's Sub-Sahara Manager, charity has been a key component of their activities this year.

"it's indeed a very meaningful, heartwarming and fulfilling initiative for us all" he noted.

According to the manager, such campaigns help to promote empowerment of the community and are also very inspiring for their staff and IRS to be personally involved.

On his part, Mr. David Shama, the Qnet adviser thanked the Imam for the warm reception accorded him and the entourage and promised that it signals the commencement of a long lasting and cordial relationship between his company and the office of the Chief Imam.

He pointed out that this annual campaign aims to enrich the lives of many people and is also aligned to the company's philosophy

He explained that the Qnet philosophy codenamed Raise Yourself To Help Mankind (RYTHM) is focused on going above and beyond to care for the less fortunate by providing better living conditions for them especially children who are the symbols for the future.



He further disclosed that the 2018 Ramadan campaign will be a collaboration between Qnet, agents, employees and IRs to organise a long month series of charity activities in the Ivory Coast, Togo, Tanzania, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Chad, Niger, Mali and Senegal.

In his response, the National Chief Imam, Dr. Osumanu Nuhu Sharubutu, expressed his gratitude for the kind gesture. He commended the company and called on other corporate bodies to emulate the kind and exemplary act.

The Imam directly feeds thousands of less privileged Muslims and non-Muslims who throng to his residence on daily basis.

The National Imam who is the head of the Muslim community in Ghana also runs an orphanage and an educational trust fund projects to support the less fortunate and the needy in the society.

The items donated include bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil, bottles of drinking water and crates of soft drinks as well as a cash donation of GHS 3,000.00 to support the orphanage and educational trust fund projects.
