The attention of the Management of the McDan Group of Companies has been drawn to a media publication dated the 12th day of July 2019 in which Minority Spokesperson on Finance Hon Cassiel Ato Forson suggesting that Government had paid some “dubious” judgment debts to McDan.

Needless to add that the publication contained many contradictions and factual errors, the company rejects and denies the allegations put up by Hon Cassiel Ato Forson.

We want to put on record that, McDan Group of Companies is conglomerate of successful businesses that spans across most sectors of the Ghanaian economy and Africa. Spans

It is worth noting that the neither the Group Chairman nor any of its subsidiary companies have taken the Government of Ghana (GoG) to court and for which Judgment debt was passed for payment of any debt whatsoever.

For the avoidance of doubt, McDan Group of Companies have not received any payment from the Government of Ghana as judgment debt in any form.

However, we do not understand why Hon Cassiel Ato Forson will make reference to the McDan Group of Companies as beneficiary of such judgment debts and his Group of companies.

We are therefore requesting that Hon Cassiel Ato Forson retracts the statement and thoroughly carried out any form of investigation to substantiate his claims.
