Ruach Elohim Ministries International (REMI) has expressed gratitude to Ghanaians, the Obojo community, and all the revered ministers of God who joined the church on Sunday, September 8, 2024, to mark the church’s first anniversary, ascribing the success and glory to God.
The church, which started with four people at the visionary’s hall at Obojo near Bright School Complex, can now boast of more than 100 people within a year.
Giving the background to the birth of REMI, the founder and Head Pastor, Rev. Dr. Ismaila Hans Awudu, said the church was born out of direction and inspiration from God, adding that it first started with four people: himself, his wife, his driver, and his houseboy in the couple's hall.
Rev. Dr. Ismaila added that, as time went on, the usual meeting was moved from the hall to the veranda when a few people joined the fellowship. “And I remember vividly having a conversation with the Holy Spirit when I was praying and looking for a place for worship. While looking for a place of worship, the Spirit immediately directed me to come out to my car park, and there it has been till now.”
Addressing the congregation about what the Lord has done in the first year, Rev. Dr. Ismaila said that though the journey has been rough and tough, those who trust in the Lord will always be victors.
Isaac Principle
Speaking on the theme “Rehoboth,” the General Overseer of the Conference of Baptist International Church, Apostle Dr. Raymond K. Akam, admonished Christians to learn the Isaac principle, which is when things or society try to push or fight you for what belongs to you, you either shift or leave peacefully.
Apostle Dr. Akam cited Isaac's example: after digging wells to feed his family and livestock on two occasions, the people in the land fought him and took them from him. But instead of responding by fighting them, Isaac moved on or shifted.
“So in life, when you confront situations at your workplace, family, business, and others, what you need is calmness, quietness, and direction to move or shift,” he stated.
The Member of Parliament for Adentan Constituency, Abu Ramadan, paid a visit to the church to celebrate the one-year anniversary with them and asked for God’s prayers to break the one-term MP mandate in the constituency.
Ministers of God
Some prominent ministers of God who graced the occasion and became a blessing to the congregants are Apostle Abraham Lamptey, Rev. Dr. Francis Sey, Prophet S.O. Amankwaa, Apostle Dr. Raymond K. Akam, and a host of other men of God.
The one-year celebration, which started on September 3, 2024, was climaxed on Sunday, September 8, amidst jubilation and thanksgiving.
REMI Church, born out of God’s vision, is here to complement the good work being carried out by all churches of God in Ghana and His ministers for the end-time assignment. “We thank everyone who made our anniversary and inauguration possible.”
