Accra, June 15, GNA - The Rescue and Fire Fighting Service RFFS at the Kotoka International Airport this afternoon brought back to normal position a cargo aircraft which had tilted with its front section pointing upwards and the tail touching the ground.
The plane, a Boeing 747 aircraft, was off loading cargo on Thursday night when the cargo shifted towards its tail side causing the aircraft's tail to touch the tarmac.
A release signed by Mr Eric Noi Co-operate Communication Manager of the Ghana Aviation Authority said, RFFS at the Airport which began work immediately to bring the aircraft to it normal position, finally completed their job at about 1200 hours after which the off loading resumed.
No casualty was reported, the release said. Engineers are expected to determine what went wrong before the aircraft can resume operations.
