Kingsley Abeiku Amoah, a radio presenter with Accra-based Peace FM, is wanted by an Accra circuit court for allegedly stealing $11,000 belonging to one Haruna Aminu.

The accused is said to have during the year 2013 dishonestly appropriated the said amount equivalent to GHc34,100, under the pretext of procuring traveling documents for the complainant.

The court, presided over by Ms Patricia Quansah, on May 7, 2015 issued a bench warrant for the arrest of Kingsley who DAILY GUIDE sources alleged, could be hiding in far away Singapore.

The case, which has been adjourned for four times without the accused showing up in court, has been adjourned again until July 29, 2015.

The facts of the case as presented by Chief Inspector S. Debi are that, the complainant is a driver while the accused is a radio presenter at Peace FM.

He said during the year 2013, the complainant discussed with a witness in the case his desire to travel outside the country.

Chief Inspector Debi said the witness introduced Aminu to Kingsley who said he could procure travelling documents for the complainant.

The prosecutor said Kingsley demanded $11,000 from the complainant to procure all the necessary documents for him, adding that Aminu made a part payment of $2,500.

Chief Inspector Debi stated that Kingsley insisted that Aminu should pay all the $11,000 before he could begin the process.

The police officer said Aminu obliged and gave $7,500 to Kingsley and another $1,000 totaling $11,000.

Chief Inspector Debi said Kingsley, upon receiving the money, rather used it for his personal commitments, indicating that Aminu contacted him (Kingsley) several times for a refund of the money but to no avail.
