The Israeli Ambassador Ami Mehl has debunked claims that the Member of Parliament for the Kumbungu Constituency in the Northern region Ras Mubarak was not denied visa by the Israel Embassy in the country but rather he failed to do things the right way.

He made the comments while speaking on Accra based radio station Starr FM.

He said the Minority MP is just promoting propaganda upon being denied entry.

He said,“He didn’t ask me for a visa and was not denied entry into the country. There was not instructions whatsoever to me not give him a visa. Mr Mubarak decided not to do things the right way. Mr Mubarak came to the country without a visa. What he is doing is propaganda, he is a propaganda machine”.

The Minority MP was to submit a paper on behalf of the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah.

Speaking in Jordan, Mr Mubarak who was to speak on a conference in Palestine said, “It is true and very unfortunate,” affirming that he was denied passage.

On the comments passed by Mr Mehl, the MP expressed his surprise of the claims of the Ambassador and affirmed that, he will however continue to act as an activist on behalf of the State of Palestine.

He said there was no need for him to have gone to the Israeli Embassy for a visa due to the fact that the officials in the city of Tel Aviv have sorted out his entry.

He said speaking to Starr News, “I did not need to go to the Israeli Embassy for a visa because the top officials in Tel Aviv have sorted my entry. My permit was issued by the foreign affairs minister of Israel. Aside myself, some other renowned individuals were refused entry. I have every legitimate right as a citizen of the world to point out injustices”.
