Rawlings Has Over-Shadowed Mills

The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate for Bosome Freho in Amansie East District of Ashanti Region, Mr Eddie Yaw Ofori Kuragu, has predicted that President Kufour will win about70% of the votes in the forthcoming elections ?because there is no challenger.?

He said Professor Evans Atta Mills, the supposed challenger, has been overshadowed by former President J.J. Rawlings. In an interview with The Daily Dispatch, Mr Kuragu who is also the Managing Director for Cozy Lodge said ?a vote for Mills is a vote for Rawlings?.

The former President is still in the limelight than the NDC party and its Presidential flagbearer, Prof. Evans Atta Mills because Rawlings gets more publicity in both print and electronic media than Mills. This, Mr Kuraga observed, is a shame to Prof. Mills who is seeking the mandate of Ghanaians to rule over them. The aspiring MP stressed, that it is a big blow to NDC in the upcoming parliamentary and presidential election.

He said the ruling party?s chances of winning the December election is very great and they are leaving no stone unturned to win 170 parliamentary seats and leave the remaining 60 seats for NDC and other minority parties. He said the NPP is working hard to provide the basic needs of the people ? food, water, education, health, road network and many more.
