Rawlings warns those "who don't think before they talk"

The office of ex-president Jerry John Rawlings says it will no longer stomach any vile propaganda and vitriolic attacks against the former First Family from people "who don’t think before they talk" in government and activists of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) party, and will thus respond in like manner to their effusions.

In what can best pass for a veiled response to Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary of the NDCs call on loyalists of the former President to defy him, Spokesperson to the Rawlingses, Kofi Adams, addressing a press conference in Accra on Thursday, stressed "we cannot continue building this party while some people keep destroying at the center."

The NDC Chief Scribe, at the weekend called on party faithfuls who believe in the principles of June 4 to positively defy any suggestion by the former first family to vote out the NDC in the upcoming elections, saying that recent utterances and actions of the Rawlingses indicate they want the party in opposition.

According to him, one of the principles of the June 4 Revolution was ‘positive defiance’ and it was prudent for all to uphold that principle and act accordingly.
