The Functional National Executive Committee of the United Front Party wishes to state categorically that the Party has not and shall never endorse or work for Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP in the 2016 general elections.
UFP is an independent registered political party and the party is run separately from the two leading political parties namely NPP and NDC.
We wish to state categorically and unequivocally that the members who were at the Nima residence of Nana Akufo-Addo are not the true representation of the NEC of the Party. They are defunct members of the Party.
These defunct and disgruntled members have the political right to endorse anybody they prefer for the 2016 general elections but cannot be linked or published in the name of UFP. Prior to the 2012 general elections, these defunct UFP members led by Nana Agyenim Boateng mounted the political platform of the last two rallies of NPP in Kumasi and Accra respectively to endorsed the candidature of Nana Akufo-Addo and per such endorsement they forfeited their membership in accordance with the Article 6 of UFP Constitution.
It will be very profitable for Nana Akufo-Addo to avoid some of these useless endorsements because such endorsements shall have no material and empirical effect on the organization and management of UFP as a Party.
It is a public knowledge that Akwasi Addai Odike(2012 Presidential Candidate of the Party) is the Founder and no amount of Political dust by NPP cohorts can Change this truth and reality. It is also an open secret that Nana Agyenim Boateng IS NOT the Founder and National Chairman of the Party; he is an embattled ex-officer of the Party.
For the sake of clarity, UFP as a collective Party has never taken any decision to endorse or support the presidential ambition of Nana Akufo-Addo and shall never endorse or support the bid of any Political Party in the 2016 general elections. UFP shall contest the 2016 general elections as an independent minded Political Party.
….Signed…
