Sheikh I. C. Quaye, the Greater Accra Regional Minister, would lead the Ghanaian Government Hajj team to Saudi Arabia as Muslims worldwide converge there for the performance of one of the 5 cannons of Islam.
An advance team of government delegation was preparing to depart via the United Arab Emirate airline before the commencement of the actual flights of Ghanaian pilgrims by the end of this week.
Saudi authorities have donated one hundred and fifty tickets for benefit of Ghanaian Muslims this year in conformity with a practice performed annually.
The fare has been pegged at $1,500 per pilgrim and the duration is between 21 and 30 days.
