Rejoinder-NDC Germany Jabs Opposition NPP

Our attention has been drawn to an Article which appeared on Ghanaweb on April 22 under the above caption. In the said article it was reported that a vocal “NPP Activist” by the name Mr Kwame Acheampong had an encounter with the so called members of the NDC Communication team on TOPAFRIC Radio.
As a party that stands not only for the truth but believes in the principles of decency in our public discourse NPP Germany deems it appropriate to set the records straight so that falsehood does not become a fact. We wish to state categorically and should be put on record that no such encounter ever took place between any member of our communication team on the said radio station on that particular date.
Secondly, the Communication Directorate wishes to state in no uncertain terms that no member of our communication team goes by the name Kwame Acheampong in Hamburg or any other part of Germany for that matter. Hence the said publication is a blatant lie, totally false and a complete fabrication. Perhaps the name Kwame Acheampong only exits in the very warped and narrow mind of the reporter who from all indications seem not to have the faintest idea about news reporting.
Such fabricated stories and misleading reportage is an insult to the intelligence of Ghanaians and must be disregarded and treated with the contempt that it deserves. Clearly, it only goes to confirm our earlier statement in which we cautioned Ghanaians in Diaspora to be cautious of the NDC propaganda. Indeed we have been vindicated and Ghanaians are the better Judges as to who has the truth on his side. If people can unashamedly concoct and fabricate a news event that never took place then one does not need to be rocket scientist to appreciate the level of desperation within the ruling NDC.
The ethics of Journalism require that every news story should be factual, accurate and properly attributed. However, these basic elements are completely lacking in this badly written and poorly edited report which has left us questioning whether the reporter has the necessary qualification and the requisite professional training to practice Journalism in the first place. In fact the report reads like the work of a high school drop-out and should be seen as such.
This should not suprise anyone in anyway because under the criminally-minded and visionless Mills-Mahama administration it is not just fashionable but it is also profitable to lie, deceive, cheat and steal with impunity. The politics of lies and deception have become the standard and accepted practice with the President being the worst offender. Of course if the President can lie to the people of Ghana on seven different occasions an act which calls for immediate impeachment per Article 69 of our constitution, one should not be suprise if his errand boys do same.
The likes of the reporter should be reminded that the December 7 election is not about empty rhetoric and childish propaganda. It is about real and substantive issues that matter to Ghanaians such as the high cost of living, unemployment, the break- down of law and order and the apparent lack of focus and leadership in our country. For the past three and half years the Mills-Mahama administration has demonstrated gross incompetence, lack of vision and remained the most corrupt government in the history of Ghana. Ghanaians are fully aware (thanks to the vigilance and patriotism of Hon Kennedy Agyapong) of the gargantuan crimes and corruption that have characterised the NDC government and will pass their verdict come December 7 by showing these den of robbers the exit.
NPP- Germany assures all Ghanaians that we will continue to provide accurate, honest and truthful information with the view to enabling them make informed decisions on December 7 while at the same time exposing the rot, greed, corruption and ineptitude of the NDC government. We shall always stand by the truth because truth we believe is the light of the world.( Veritas Lux Mundi)
