Religious bodies must champion blood donation crusade - Pastor

Reverend Prince Sam Achin, Head Pastor of Changed Life Baptist Church, has asked religious bodies to champion the blood donation crusade through their church activities.

He said as part of the responsibility of these bodies to win souls, such activities could help save lives of millions in the country whenever they were in critical health condition.

Rev Achin said this at the celebration of the church’s 40th anniversary in Accra adding that it was for this reason that the church had decided to undertake a blood donation exercise in October 2015.

He explained that another reason for the upcoming project was for the congregation to reciprocate the goodness of the Lord upon their lives for the past 40 years through prayers, fasting, alms giving, evangelism and thanksgiving.

He said: “We would also visit the prisons, orphanages and the needy to offer them some spiritual and material help.”

Rev Achin said the church’s Bible Training School, which was established six years ago, had trained about 54 ministers from different churches and, therefore, urged the public to apply for training.

He said it was the aim of the church to open branches in all the regions in the country by 2020.

Rev. Achin said: “We also want to attain about 25 acres of land to extend our Bible Training School in a manner that we can award diploma, degree and masters certificates.

He said though the courses would be extended they would be dedicated only to Bible courses.

Rev Achin assured the congregation of the completion of the church’s auditorium by 2016 to ensure convenience.

Mr Paul Dzadey, Associate Pastor of Life Cathedral, advised the public to refrain from acts that could cause chaos and rather endeavour to be agents of peace and unity to ensure stability.
