Gomoa Adaa(C/R), Jan. 26, GNA - The authorities of the Gomoa Adaa Vocational Training Institute of the Central Region have appealed to the government to assist the school and prevent it from collapse.
The Headmaster of the School, Mr Plato Kweku Nsowah, told journalists said the staff and authorities of the school had been doing their best to keep it running.
Mr Nsowah said establishment of the institute by the German Volunteers 23 years ago was aimed at absorbing Junior High School leavers to learn technical skills to enable them become self-reliant.
He said its buildings had not seen any rehabilitation and expansion since it was established.
The headmaster said the school, which has a population of 200, has no classrooms, dormitories and other facilities on the school compound.
Mr Nsowah said the headmaster and girls of the school were being housed at a building provided by the late Chief of Gomoa Adaa.
He appealed to philanthropists, the Gomoa West Assembly and the Ministry of Manpower and Employment to come to the aid of the school and save it from collapse.
