Residents of Danso in Techiman has been urged to unite

Danso (B/A), June 16, GNA - Mr Kofi Nimo, an accountant of Techiman Zone Council, has called on residents of Danso in Techiman Municipality to shun petty squabbles and activities that could divide their ranks. He said since elections were over they should unite and rekindle the spirit of volunteerism and self-help to improve their living conditions.

Mr Nimo, temporarily in charge of Tanoso Town Council, said this when addressing separate meetings with traders and community leaders at Danso. He appealed to the people to think of how to develop their areas, not to let partisan politics engage their whole attention and to support the government to attain national development.

Mr Nimo advised the people to pay their taxes so that the council could achieve its developmental goals and gave the assurance that the Danso market project, which was started sometime ago, would be continued.

Mr Collins Fordjour, Assembly Member for Tanoso-Ahenfi, expressed optimism that all rateable people would abide by the assembly's bye-law on the payment of tolls to avoid prosecution.
