Nkoranza (B/A), Aug 30, GNA - The government has decided to re-engage professional teachers who go on pension to fill vacancies. Mr Kwabena Agyemang-Badu, Nkoranza District Director of Education, said this at a meeting with about 25 teacher pensioners during which period he checked their physical appearance and went through their past records.
He said special orientation courses would be organised for those who would be re-engaged and that his outfit would relocate them in schools near to their homes.
Mr Raphael Alornu, the Nkoranza District Coordinator of the National Service Scheme who complied the list of the pensioners, said their appointment and re-engagement was subject to renewal at the end of every year even though the contract was for seven years.
