Rev. Father asks Christians to get involved in politics

Axim (W/R) Feb. 10, GNA - The Parish Priest of the Saint Anthony Catholic church at Axim, the Reverend Father Paul Awuah, has advised Christians to be involved in the kind of politics that would benefit Ghanaians. He reminded Christians to emulate Jesus Christ because he was the greatest politician ever and his politics centred on the well-being of humanity.

Rev. Fr. Awuah was speaking at a thanksgiving service organised by the Evaloe Dwira Constituency of the National Democratic Congress at the Catholic Church at Axim. He said that Politics was not a dirty game and advised Christians to actively participate and influence the nature of politics to make it clean politics to ensure national progress. Rev. Awuah advised politicians whose aim was to dent the image of their opponents to score points to desist from the practice.

The NDC Constituency Chairman, Mr. Anthony Anasters Asmah, in a speech, asked the church to pray for President John Atta-Mills to successfully steer the affairs of the nation. A leading member of the party in the constituency, Nana Akuamuah Boateng, called on the people to unite for the speedy development of their area.
