An Executive Director-head of Databank Assest Management Rev. Daniel Ogbarmey Tetteh, has said Ghana needs transformational leaders who must be honest, trustworthy, upright, ethical and exhibit high moral standards in all facets of life.
Addressing the African Bibical Leadership forum 2015 (ABLI) co-organized by the Bible society of Ghana, at the British council hall in Accra, Mr Ogbarmey Tetteh said transformation leadership was a process where leaders and their followers were able to raise one another to higher heights of morality and motivation.
Mr. Tetteh urged Christians to endeavour to be models of integrity, set clear goals, have high expectations, provide support and inspire their colleagues throughout their studies.
He said an effective leader must be measured in terms of the results achieved rather than the efforts he puts in.
Mr. Tetteh asked the country's churches to equip members with the requisite know-how for life instead of preparing then to go to heaven.
According to him, churches must let society benefit from their teachings by effecting changes in all facets of life.
The current CEO. of Axis Human Capital Limited, Dr. Esi Ansah who is an assistant Professor of Ashesi University college said some leaders had lost integrity. She, therefore, advised Youth in the country to make use of current exposure like the internet and stated that, "it is dangerous of knowing not to apply".she stated.
She made mention of the fact that, in bringing transformation the christian church must aligned with modern tertiary programmes responsive for employment and the development of the country.
She urged participants to see the Forum as a vocation and a calling, to be able to take over the mantle of leadership in the near future.
