Reverend Isaac Owusu Bempah of the Glorious Word Power Ministry has announced his intention to make a significant declaration regarding the state of Ghana and the 2024 elections in November.

During a sermon on Sunday, June 16, 2024, Rev Owusu Bempah acknowledged the country's challenging times, which have impacted the attendance of his church members, who no longer turn up in large numbers as before.

However, he reassured his congregation that the situation would improve soon and that they would start enjoying life in the near future.

He also subtly commented on the 2024 elections, criticising one of the candidates for engaging in persistent name-calling.

Rev Owusu Bempah expressed his belief that this individual has been unsuccessful in managing the Ghanaian economy yet takes pleasure in criticising others who have also struggled to govern the country effectively.

"Things are tough now, but they will not remain like this forever. I will make certain pronouncements in November. You have no right to talk about someone's dirty clothes when yours are not clean either.

"However, there are certain individuals in this country who are more focused on correcting others' mistakes instead of their own. Such people do not concentrate on what will benefit them and the country; instead, they attack others," he said.

He added that "You failed to manage the issue, yet you are quick to call out others for not doing the same. As a driver, you drove a car into a ditch but criticised another driver who also had an accident with his car. We are not children in this country."

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the NPP and John Mahama of the NDC are the two frontrunners for the 2024 elections.

While Mahama is promising a 24-hour economy, Dr. Bawumia is vowing to reverse some decisions and policies of his own NPP government.
