Rev. Titi-Lartey illustrate the benefits of Easter

Accra, March 21, GNA - The Reverend Emmanuel Titi-Lartey, Associate Pastor of Harvest Chapel International on Good Friday reminded Christians to reflect on the grand things, which occurred when Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross.

He explained that the crucifixion of Christ led to the redemption of mankind from the bondage of sin as he became a ransom for man, the destruction of the "Adamic" sin and the creation of access for believers to enter the presences of the most Almighty God.

Speaking at special Good Friday service on the theme; "The Essences of The Cross," to commemorate the passion, and the death on the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ, Rev. Titi-Lartey reminded believers; "we have been bought with the incorruptible life of Jesus Christ. "We are therefore the property of God and need to seek His approval for whatever we engage in both physically and spiritually." Rev. Titi-Lartey urged Christians to be conscious of the fact that the price for their salvation was the life of Jesus Christ and walk in the direction of God.

Most Christians who attended the service wore black or mourning dresses to commemorate the day.

Good Friday comes barely a week after Palm Sunday, which marked the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem.

Many Christians have over the past couple of weeks, been fasting and praying and asking for repentance and meditation on the agony and suffering of Christ on the cross and what this means for their faith. Many Pentecostal churches are holding conventions that will end with the Easter anniversary.
