Security expert, Adam Bonaa, has disclosed that road accidents account for more of the deaths in this country than all diseases put together.

The Security Warehouse CEO says 99% of traffic regulations are not obeyed by motorists. According to him, these motorists only obey traffic lights although they are to obey some basic others including over-speeding, overtaking and road mileage.

Commenting on the bad driving of motorists, Adam Bonaa mentioned that most driving schools in Ghana do not teach drivers defensive driving as is done in other countries, consequently the increase in road carnage.

Adding to the list of the causes of road carnage, he mentioned the lack of flood lights which give enough vision at night.

Moreover, he has blamed frequent accident on the chaotic nature of Ghanaians which they display even when driving.

Such attitudes include over-speeding and needless overtaking which he lamented are not checked by law enforcement agencies.

Meanwhile, he has charged Ghanaians to hold accountable institutions such as the Road Safety Commission and the Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD) to check if our roads are safe to commute on as well as check drivers who break these road safety regulations.

He warned that if care is not taken, more Ghanaians will continue to mourn friends and family due to road accidents.

He expressed his deepest condolences to the family and friends of victims of late songstress Ebony Reigns, who died in a car accidents together with two others early in February, 2018.
