Roads minister presents dual desks to school

Alhaji Inusah Fuseini, Minister of Roads and Highways, has presented 200 dual desks to 400 pupils at the Presbyterian Primary school in the Tamale Central Constituency to improve teaching and learning in the academic entity.

Alhaji Fuseini also pledged to provide an initial amount of GH¢ 10,000 for the demolition and reconstruction of the kindergarten portion of the school to improve academic work as well as enrollment of more children.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony in Tamale at the weekend, Alhaji Fuseini commended the media for highlighting development issues and other defects of infrastructure especially in schools to receive attention.

He said education is the only tool that could be used for development and gave the assurance that he would use every resource at his disposal to help improve education especially infrastructure in his constituency.

Alhaji Fuseini who is also the Member of Parliament for the Tamale Central, said he recognises the importance of education hence the need to embark on educational infrastructure improvement.

This includes the renovation and infrastructure provision at the Queen Elizabeth Day Nursery and the restoration of the junior high and portions of the Presbyterian Primary school.

He said he would continue to serve the people in any capacity and appealed to them to remain patient especially in communities where he had not been able to solve their problems.

“No community will be abandoned and I can assure all that the national cake will be distributed equitably.”

Mr Amadu Zakaria, Headmaster of the school who received the dual desks expressed appreciation to the Minister.
