Robbers attack Kalpohin Estate residents in Tamale

A gang of armed robbers on Friday dawn terrorised residents of Kalpohin Estate, a suburb of Tamale and made away with a number of valuable items.

Items stolen included air conditioners, laptops, unspecified amounts of money amongst other valuables.

About 10 houses were attacked in the about two-hour massive operation, which started around 0100 hours GMT and left many of the residents shocked as they gathered on their premises discussing the incident.

One of the victims (name withheld) told the Ghana News Agency that the robbers cut portions of her window and one of them stretched his hand into the room to pick a laptop from a table and an alarm by occupants made him to escape.

The case has been reported to the Tamale District Police Command.
