Robbers shoot ex-MCE, steal Chrysler at Ashaiman

The immediate past Municipal Chief Executive of Ashaiman, Ibrahim Baidoo, has survived a gun attack in the face by unknown assailants who attacked him on Wednesday, 5 April.

ClassFMonline.com learnt that the shooting incident happened in front of Mr Baidoo’s house at Tema Community 22, close to his former official residence at about 7:45pm.

Mr Baidoo, was returning from an NDC meeting in Tema when the unknown assailants pounced on him, right in front of his main gate at gunpoint.

The men pushed him to the ground and aimed their gun at his head. Though he was hit in the face, he did not die. He, however, sustained severe gunshot wounds.

The men made away with his new blue-black Chrysler with registration number GN 2015 - 16 which was given to him by his boss as a result of his hard work and commitment to serving his municipality.

Magic Bronx, as he is popularly called, is currently receiving medical attention at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the Tema Regional Police Command has appealed to the public to provide any information they may have on the three robbers who had armed themselves with locally manufactured pistols and made their getaway on a motorbike.

The victim is presently at the Korle-bu teaching hospital responding to treatment.
