The Royal House Chapel International, headed by Rev Sam Koranye Ankrah has announced that it will remain closed despite the government's decision to ease Coronavirus restrictions and allow religious bodies to operate.
The church in a press statement signed by Rev. Dzifa Gakpleadzi, Director of Administration, and copied to GhanaWeb noted that they shall continue to have a virtual service for their members.
"All Royalhouse Chapel Churches are hereby informed that Churches (inclusive of the headquarters, Ahenfie) are to remain closed for regular/normal in-person church services.
Services shall continue to be aired virtually via live broadcast from the headquarters through Powerline Television, Facebook, Youtube, and advertised radio stations."
The statement further indicated that leadership of the church shall continue to monitor, study, and evaluate the implementation of the presidential directives for a final decision to be made.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in his 10th address to the nation on Sunday stated that churches and mosques can admit up 100 people during service. Church services, in particular, are not to extend beyond one hour.
