Russian cargo pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko, who is standing trial in US Federal Court in New York on charges of smuggling cocaine, will have to wait yet again for a verdict.
Federal Judge Jed Rakoff scheduled another hearing in the case for Thursday, after having already scheduled an additional hearing on Wednesday.
A hearing on Tuesday ended without a verdict when the jury requested further documentation. According to the prosecution, Yaroshenko was involved in a criminal scheme to transport an estimated 200 kilograms of cocaine via diplomatic mail from Ghana to New York on a Delta Airlines plane.
Yaroshenko was also accused of transporting drugs by air from Venezuela to Liberia and then to Ghana.
