The Central Ghana Conference (CGC) and South Ghana Conference (SGC) of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church, have held their joint quadrennial session to elect new leaders.
Pastor Akwasi Boateng is the President of the (CGC), with Pastors Gabriel Kofi Kwateng and Ernest Owusu-Akyaw as Secretary and Treasurer, respectively.
The officers voted in by the (SGC), include Pastor Stephen Kofi Anokye, President, Pastor Newman Osaforo Adu-Amankwah, Secretary, and Elder Kwarteng Amaniampong, Treasurer.
They have the responsibility to manage the affairs of the church for the next three years.
Their election was one of the high points of the five-day meeting held at Asante-Bekwai, which brought together over 300 delegates from across the districts.
The event was under the theme: “Revival and the Second Coming.”
Pastor Boateng said they would work hard to lead both conferences on the path of sustainable growth.
They have a duty to unite in their efforts to spread the gospel to bring hope of salvation to the people.
He reminded the congregation to continue to pray for God’s gift of enduring peace for the nation.
His counterpart, Pastor Anokye, appealed to members of the church, to co-operate and support their elected leaders to live up to expectation.
