SHC HOUSES SOLD ILLEGALLY FOR c3.2m

Two former employees of the State Housing Corporation (SHC) have been accused of selling two rental housing units belonging to the SHC for a total of c3.2 million.

The two, Nicholas Partey and James Adjei are said to have sold out houses numbered 39 and 11 which they were occupying at Dansoman for c1.8million and c1.4million respectively.

Mr Y. Yiadom-Boakye, Director of Administration and Mr.S.K. Gyamfi, Director of Estates of the SHC said the deal came to light during the recent exercise by the corporation in Accra to rid its rental units and duty-post bungalows of illegal occupants.

Mr Yiadom-Boakye said the tenancy agreement with employees stipulates that employees will be required to give vacant possession of their units when they either resign, retire or leave the services of the corporation.
