The women’s wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has fed children numbering over a thousand who trooped to the School Placement Resolution Centre at the Black Star Square.
Speaking on ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ on Happy FM, the Deputy National Women Organizer for the NDC, Abigail Elorm Mensah said, “We realised that, they will have to wait for a while to get their postings rectified. We did that to refresh them and keep body and soul together as they wait for their problems to be rectified.”.
According to her, the exercise was not about the haves and have nots but they felt it was necessary to do something of that sort to help the children.
She further denied all claims that, they were feeding the people because the NDC was responsible for busing them to the centre to cause trouble.
“I don’t see the need for a political party as big as the NDC to ever think of busing kids to the independence square”, she added.
The Ghana Education Service had set up solution centres across the country as part of its effort to solve the problems on the “Double Track System” under the free SHS scheme.
The solution centres would enable issues on the system be resolved and well understood by parents of the beneficiaries as well as handling all misconceptions of the computer school placement for the 2019/2020 academic year.
