SSNIT Pensioners' official speaks on CAP 30

Ho, July 3, GNA - Mr. Andrews Etse Segbon, Chairman of the Ho SSNIT Pensioners Association at weekend said that SSNIT Pensioners have high expectations that the recommendations of the T.A Bediako would address the disparities in pension benefits under the SSNIT and CAP 30 pension schemes.

Mr Segbor expressed this sentiment at a republic day reception for senior citizens in Ho.

He said a pensioner under CAP 30 was entitled to a mandatory full benefits dead or alive up top 80 years whereas the limit for a SSNIT pensioner is 72 years.

"We all worked under the some conditions and should retire under the some conditions", he emphasised.

Mr Segbor said if the anomaly was not corrected we would register our displeasure forcefully.

About 160 pensioners attended the meeting from 60th public and private sectors.

Mr Kofi Dzamesi, Volta Regional Minister read the president's address, which reflected high, hopes for pensioners, workers and the country in general.
