The Society Security and National Insurance Trust, SSNIT has recieved a World Bank grant to conduct a study into means of inculcating the informal sector into the pension scheme. The study will begin in June and it will consider incentives that will attract the informal sector into the scheme. The Director General of SSNIT, Mr Henrry Dei disclossed the fourth biennial delegates conference of the SSNIT Senior Staff Association at Koforidua. The three day conference has the theme, 30 years of Social Securi tis does nto urgur well for improvemetn of the Scheme. Major Tetteh malled om employers to fulfil their statutory obligations. The Regional Minsiter commended SSNIT for its housing projects under which the Easter Region has benefitted from 110 units. The President of the SSNIT Senior Staff Association, Mr Laud A.K Senanu, praised the successful operations of the Trust overhte past 30 years. He however, said there is the need for a great deal of prudence in the management of its resources in order to sustain the achievements of SSNIT.
