Former Ashanti regional deputy minister Joseph Yamin is calling on President Akufo-Addo to sack Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST) boss Alfred Obeng with immediate effect.

Alfred Obeng has been accused of engaging in a shady crude oil sale which amounts to causing financial loss to the state.

The Executive Director of the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers (COPEC), Duncan Amoah, has alleged that the deal has resulted in Ghana losing some Gh¢23 million.

The Minority has corroborated the claims but BOST has rubbished the allegations describing them as baseless.

Nonetheless, the former deputy sports minister wants him fired as soon as possible if indeed he’s serious in fighting corruption in the country.

He adds failure to do so President Akufo- Addo would confirm Kennedy Agyapong’s accusation that the BOST chief had offered him some money to support his campaign prior to the 2016 polls.

Speaking on Abusua Nkommo hosted by Kwame Adinkrah, Yamin said ”Kwame Alfred Obeng should be fired immediately by Nana Addo if indeed he wants to fight corruption in this country”.

”Some of us will go another level if by Friday Alfred Obeng is still at post, the man must go” he added.

”Kennedy Agyapong’s allegation would be confirmed if Alfred Obeng remains at post.
