Saint Mathias Catholic Hospital celebrates silver jubilee next year

Reverend Sister Parisuddan, Administrator of Saint Mathias Catholic Hospital at Yeji, has appealed to the Ministry of Health, and the Pru District Assembly for assistance to improve infrastructure at the Hospital.

She said improvement needed are at the Maternity, Children’s and Surgical Wards, as well as Accommodation for Staff.

Rev. Sister Parisudaan made the appeal at the launch of the 25th anniversary celebration of the Hospital at Yeji.

The celebration on the theme: “Justice, Mercy, Jubilation and Perfect Healing, “is slated for March next year.

The Hospital was established as a Christ Healing Ministry in Ghana, to help people through good ethical and moral standards in society.

Established in 1991 by the Sunyani Diocese of the Catholic Church, it began operations in March 1992 with a Pharmacy and Laboratory Unit.

Mr Emmanuel Kwame Opoku, Pru District Chief Executive, commended the staff for their role in treating patients, and said the Assembly has planned to improve facilities at the Hospital.
