Ms Adelaide Koomson, a member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), who accused Ningo Prampram lawmaker Samuel Nartey George of forgery, ahead of the party’s parliamentary primaries has pleaded for mercy.
Class 91.3FM’s parliamentary correspondent Ekow Annan reported that Ms Koomson, who had endorsed the MP's nomination forms turned around to accuse the MP that he forged her signature on the forms, a situation that nearly resulted in the disqualification of the MP from partaking in the impending polls.
Following the accusation, members of Sam George’s campaign team reigned curses on Ms Koomson for what they describe as a false accusation.
Ms Koomson, however, begged for forgiveness after she became seriously ill a few weeks ago. She perceives that her sickness is the consequence of supposed curses placed on her by Sam George’s campaign team members.
Ms Koomson made the confession on Sunday, 4 August 2019, and appealed to the Dawhenya Mantse in the Ningo Prampram area to intervene on her behalf.
