Former chairperson of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Samia Yaba Nkrumah has described some of the party’s members as moles of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP), who have vied for positions in order to sell the CPP to its enemies.

Samia, who was speaking at the recent National Delegate’s Congress at Sunyani Polytechnic, said the party must reject the betrayers and vote for true CPP members who are dedicated to the growth of the party.

Samia, the only daughter of Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah, who intends to lead the party in the 2016 general elections, asked delegates to unite and welcome true CPP sympathizers into their fold to win the next elections.

She said God and Dr Nkrumah, the former president, are behind her and CPP to win the 2016 elections to improve the fortunes of the country.

She thanked the party’s members for supporting her and the family in diverse ways after the overthrew of her father almost 50 years ago.

Samia said though the CPP’s assets had been confiscated, the party, under the leadership of Dr Delle, would start reclaiming them.

Ms Yaba asked the new leaders to continue with electronic data base system of the party that she began.

Samia, in an emotional speech, said the only way to control poverty is for Ghanaians to control their own resources and the way to do that is to bring back the CPP into power to finish the unfinished business of the founder of the party, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
